Drd. Tatiana Șoldănescu

Drd. Tatiana Șoldănescu is an attorney-at-law specialized in Human Rights Law, European Union Law, Constitutional Law, Real Estate & Urbanism, Intellectual Property Law. Her greatest challenges and satisfactions as a practicing lawyer come from convincing national judges to apply directly the European Convention on Human Rights and EU Law.  Nonetheless, she specialized in drafting applications before the Court in Strasbourg, requests for preliminary rulings for the Court of Justice of the European Union and pleas of unconstitutionality before national courts in Romania.

Recently, she completed an internship at the General Court of the European Union in Luxembourg (2024), where she worked on cases concerning the sanctions applied by the European Union, intellectual property and competition.

Tatiana obtained her Master’s in International Public Law from the Faculty of Law of the University of Bucharest (2019). She underwent a research fellowship (2021) in IREDIES – Sorbonne Research Institute for International and European Law, a research centre of the Sorbonne Law School (Université Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne).

She is currently drafting a PhD thesis on European Human Rights Law within the Doctoral School of the Faculty of Law, University of Bucharest and is an associate assistant professor at the same faculty.

Tatiana is the author of multiple articles on human rights law and participated at several national and international conferences on this topic.

Tatiana speaks Romanian, English, Spanish and French.
